Livelihood

SATHI-UP is its belief of empowered women (SABALA) promoting livelihood of small and marginal farmers families by women farmers concept. This women-centric development model collectivizes women from such families who come under category of small and marginal farmers. Women are facilitated to form Gram Panchayat level CBO in name of Nari Sangh. The overall and objective of women-centric livelihood intervention is to; create enabling environment in communities for women empowerment and identity, enhance household income of small & marginal farmers through agro-based income generation activities.

Women Farmer Resource Center-WFRC established at Village level; to address the issues of quality and variety of seeds, tools and technology , information accessibility and knowledge building. Concept behind of WFRC establishment was to work in collective approach and inclusion of other small and marginal farmers with agriculture technology. There is basic agriculture equipment are available for NARI Sangh members. Knowledge building sessions, onsite orientation, demonstration tools and linkages establishment work being coordinated by the organizations through the linkages with agriculture expert and scientist. Women centric development approach has been adopted to drive the programme goal. Organization provides support & inputs to Nari Sangh on regular basis (Women CBOs) and WFRC- Women Farmer Resource Center. This Programme thought is to address the development concern of underdeveloped regions with women centric perspectives.

FOCUS INTERVENTION STRATEGIES OF PROGRAMME

1. Collectivizing women from small and marginalized families at Village/Gram Panchayat level.
2. Facilitating women collectives to address the basic needs of families through realization of entitlements
3. Promoting women participation in decision making process at families, society and local PRI level
4. Establishing Women farmer Resource Center-WFRC for promoting agro-based livelihoods.
5. Conducting knowledge building sessions on different govt. schemes & program and agriculture technologies.
6. Providing information and tools for income generation activities.
